Ons skoolwapen lees – Saambeur in Liefde. By Laerskool Bredasdorp raak almal deel van die BD-familie wat die leerders, ouers, personeel en ondersteuners van die skool insluit. Ons waardes van respek, integriteit en trots vorm die hoeksteen van die BD’s se optrede wat lei tot die sukses waarmee ons geseën word. Die belangrikste is egter dat ons ‘n diep gewortelde liefde vir ons land en ons mense het. Die voorreg om in Bredasdorp te bly, spoor ons aan om aan te hou saamwerk, om ons plattelandse leefstyl te koester, maar om steeds te help voortbou op suksesse vanuit die verlede om sodoende 1ste-klas geleenthede aan ons leerders te bied.

We live in a community that cares for one another and our parents and supporters are involved in various school activities. We are proud of our culture of participation and our parents and supporters always have the schools’ best interests at heart. Bredasdorp Primary School’s staff is a group of highly motivated individuals that all form part of the BD family, playing their part in staying on the forefront of education to ensure each BD learner receives the best quality education and opportunities.

Ons is trots op ons terrein en die wyse waarop die gebou, veld en bane onderhou word, getuig van die hardwerkendheid en integriteit waarmee ons ondersteuningspersoneel hul taak aanpak. Weens die respek wat leerders vir die skool het, het ons nie probleme met ‘n onnet terrein nie en Laerskool Bredasdorp staan bekend as een van die bakens van Bredasdorp.

BD’s neem akademie ernstig op en dit word sonder twyfel as kernbesigheid van die skool beskou. Along with academics, no BD shies away from the various sport and cultural opportunities provided by the school. We have a long tradition of positive participation and BDs grab at the chance to represent our school in various sport and/or cultural activities.

To be a BD is to strive towards balance. Bredasdorp Primary believes in creating opportunities for the holistic development of learners, but not to lose focus from giving our learners the opportunity to play, laugh and enjoy coming to school. Having good manners and being kind to others are sometimes more important lessons to learn than anything written in the curriculum. We want our learners to be happy and have enough opportunities to be balanced learners when they leave for high school.
